inSiteSM from American Express

For those of you that are proud American Express card holders, and even the ones that just keep it for status, American Express recently launched a new program called “inSiteSM“.

inSiteSM is a rewards tool that helps you fins bonus offers when you search on the web. Something similar to the new “+1 from Google” shows next to listings and allows you to see the deal you get if you purchased it with your American Express Card. In addition, inSiteSM provides free shipping on the products purchased.

To use inSiteSM you have to download the tool. Don’t worry, according to American Express “inSiteSM does not collect any of your “Personally Identifiable Information” (“PII”). PII is information collected online by American Express or by our “Vendors” that identifies the person to whom such information pertains, including without limitation name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address.” So you don’t have to worry if they are taking your information.

If you are wondering what browsers inSiteSM supports, you can see this list below. All in all, with people becoming more conscience about the rising gas prices and using more coupons sites to find the best deal, I think inSiteSM is a good thing and I can wait to test it out.

At present, inSiteSM supports:

    Windows:

  • Internet Explorer Version: 7 & 8
  • Mozilla Firefox Version: 3.5 & 3.6 and 4.0 (Beta)
    Intel Based Macs:

  • Mozilla Firefox Version: 3.5 & 3.6
  • Apple’s Safari 5.x
