American Express Credit Card Application
When people think of American Express, they either associate them with charge cards or business credit cards. The fact is that American Express has transformed themselves into a company that issues credit just like most any other credit card issuer. They still offer their traditional charge and business products though, but they have some attractive consumer credit cards that let you carry a balance if you need to. American Express credit card applications are fairly simple to fill out online. They try to return a decision on those applications within 60 seconds, but sometimes they will need a little more time to review. So if they say that they need more time, don’t assume that you have been declined.
American Express Credit Card Offers with Rewards
If you are looking for a credit card that has reward features such as travel and cash back, there are American Express Card offers for you. Their membership rewards program is highly regarded and is consistently rated amongst the top in the industry. If you are part of their membership rewards program that earns points, you can use those points to pay for your travel, merchandise at select retailers, or purchasing of gift cards. You are also to shop online through their site at select retailers and earn bonus points when you make a purchase. The key to maximizing your earning potential is to use your card for all of your purchases. Sometimes your cable company and insurance agent will take a credit card. Make sure you pay those charges off every month as you don’t want to have to pay interest on them. That would defeat the purpose of earning rewards.
Where is American Express Cards Accepted?
American Express Cards are accepted in more places than you think. There are millions of retailers, restaurants, and other business locations around the world that accept their cards. From personal experiences, I would have to say that 90% of the restaurants and retailers that I frequent will take their card. Sometimes the retailers only display the Visa and MasterCard logos even though they accept American Express credit cards for payment. The reason why they do this is because it costs less for the retailer to do a transaction for a Visa or MasterCard. Your loyalty needs to be with what is in your wallet and not your retailer’s. With the excellent rewards programs that American Express offers, you may want to have the savings go into your pocket and not the retailer.
