Grand Ole Opry Visa Card

For those of you that had thought they had seen everything, look again. Recently, First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) and the Grand Ole Opry announced that they were launching the Grand Ole Opry® Platinum Edition® Visa® Card.

When you apply for this offer, you are eligible to get approved for the “Visa Signature” version of the offer. The difference between the two is that the platinum version has three APR levels (14.99%, 16.99%, or 18.99%) and the signature version has one (14.99%). It’s all based on credit worthiness, so only apply once.

NOTE: A huge negative to this offer is that there are NO teaser rates. Don’t think you will be getting any “0% for XX months on purchases and/or balance transfers”, because it’s not going to happen. Way to drop the ball on that one FNBO! Recommendation: Choose from one of these better credit card offers.

The rewards that they are offering are just okay, if you’re into that type of thing. I don’t know about you, but unless I lived in Nashville, I wouldn’t come close to wasting my credit on this offer. Why? – “You’ll earn one point per dollar in qualifying purchases everywhere you shop with double points on qualifying Opry purchases and on Gaylord Hotels® stays. Then redeem for great Opry merchandise, tickets, gift cards or cash back!”

I’ve always been a FNBO fan. However post 2009, I’m getting bored with their offers.
