The Hyatt Card from Chase

The Hyatt Card from Chase

In the mail yesterday I received a credit card offer from Chase. It was for the new Hyatt Visa Card. I usually don’t apply for offers through the mail, because usually you can find better offers online. However, this card for some reason grabbed my attention. For a hotel credit card it offers some really good rewards. Such as, 3 Hyatt Gold Passport points for every $1 spent with your Hyatt Card at all Hyatt properties, and 1 point everywhere else. This is good and all, but I think that what sold me was the complimentary 2 nights at any Hyatt hotel or resort anywhere in the world (after your first purchase). This doesn’t seem like a lot, but when you are traveling with family on a budget, it comes in handy. Plus, since I was already a Hyatt Passport member, it was great to be able to use my points too. And by applying for the card, Hyatt upgraded me to the Platinum level membership.

It you are put off by fees, then look somewhere else. This one has a $75 annual fee, and there are other programs that don’t have an annual fee that are better. Especially if you are not a Hyatt Passport member.

APR is 15.24%, but will vary with the market based on Prime Rate.

The Hyatt Visa Card also gets you 15% point bonus on each stay, complimentary internet service, and the best room available with the category booked.
